Muslims are making huge strides in science and technology, yet their achievements are often overlooked. That was until Arfah Farooq and Zahid Mamood had the idea for Muslim Tech Fest—a celebration of Muslim excellence.

The first Muslim Tech Fest took place in London, 2023. While it sold out, attracting 300 attendees, it proved there was a huge appetite for more. Given the hunger for Muslim Tech Fest, Arfah and Zahid contacted Manza to help take MTF to new heights.

We brought the energy and diversity of Muslim Tech Fest to life with a bold identity system that worked seamlessly across digital and physical touchpoints whilst reflecting MTF’s core values.

We designed a user-friendly website that engaged attendees, speakers, and sponsors and a targeted ticket sales strategy that generated buzz, selling out the event ahead of schedule.

From meticulous event planning to on-the-day support, we ensured that every moment of the event ran smoothly and left a lasting impression.

Tickets sold out, and the venue reached full capacity well ahead of schedule.

We secured extensive media coverage, elevating MTF’s profile across both mainstream and niche outlets, while reinforcing the brand’s credibility and reach.

Social media engagement was strong, with the event’s hashtag trending in the days leading up to and throughout the event, sparking conversations that sustained the excitement.

The true success, however, was reflected in the feedback. Attendees praised everything from the branding to the content and marketing, affirming the powerful brand platform we’d created for MTF and setting the stage for expansion into new countries and cities.

The Future

Looking ahead, Muslim Tech Fest is set to expand its global footprint, with events already planned in three countries. These new locations will further amplify the platform’s mission to highlight and celebrate the innovations of Muslim tech leaders across the world.

A standout addition is the launch of MTF Pitch — a competition designed to help Muslim start-ups scale, with £30,000 in funding up for grabs.

As MTF continues to grow, it will remain a vital force for change, fostering innovation, supporting diverse entrepreneurs, and shaping the future of tech.
