How Manza helped set the stage for Charity Right

Food insecurity starves millions of children of an education. Charity Right provides nutritious meals that enable children to stay in school, graduate and escape poverty.

Charity Right’s brand look was inconsistent and was harming their ability to stand out. There were also issues with the site’s UX. Content was hard to find, page titles differed, and a complex donation process caused a drop-off in donations. On top of this, few Muslims outside the South East had heard of Charity Right.

The Work

We unified their look with a clean, bold font, eye-catching graphics and bright colours. This allowed for variation across touch-points while clearly belonging to the same brand.

To address regional bias, we created a partner program with popular Muslim restaurant chains My Lahores and Chaiiwala. Both have outlets in areas with large Muslim populations across the UK.

Finally, we cleaned up the site navigation, and optimised the donation process by reducing the number of steps and inputs needed. We also added sentiment to the process by showing the children and causes the donor’s money would be helping.

Improving the site’s UX led to a healthy increase in dwell times. Partnering with My Lahores and Chaiiwala helped expose Charityright to the wider community of British Muslims.

Meanwhile, a more cohesive look to their paid social media delivered twice the original spend.
The Future

We’re continuing to work with Charityright on new campaigns and helping to grow their profile in Muslim communities spread across the country.
